Herby was Inspired by homemade challas he enjoyed during his university years in Tennessee. He honed his baking skills while pursuing a law degree and eventually realized his dream of opening a bakery with his wife, Debbie.
Their move to Israel in 1986 marked a new chapter in their lives, as they brought their Memphis-inspired bakery to Beit El. Herby's Bakeshop has flourished, offering a variety of delicious baked goods, like their renowned donuts and biscotti. Through their partnership with Lev Haolam, Herby and Debbie have found a way to share their love for baking and their connection to Israel with people around the world.
Divine Inspiration: Artist Menahem Halberstadt
Menahem Halberstadt is a gifted Israeli artist born in Beit El. He has a deep connection to the land and the Torah. His artistic journey began in childhood and has evolved into a flourishing career, creating beautiful works in various mediums, including oil on canvas and digital art.
