About the Producer
Herbs of Kedem was founded over 25 years ago by Amir — a researcher with a PhD in mechanical engineering and a lifelong curiosity about nature, science, and the human body.
Based in the Judean Hills near Hebron, the company studies medicinal plants that grow across dramatically different terrains — from the arid Dead Sea region to high-altitude areas where winters can even bring snow. Seeds carried between these environments adapt in remarkable ways, producing high levels of protective substances that help the plants survive intense solar radiation and environmental stress.
At Herbs of Kedem’s research center, biologists study how these plants interact with processes such as skin aging, inflammation, and cellular fatigue. One area of focus is senescence — a natural aging process linked to inflammation, which becomes visible in the skin over time through thinning, dryness, loss of firmness, and uneven tone. Amir and his team discovered that specific local plants, including phlomis, verbascum, and cedar-rich species containing cedrol, can help support the skin by addressing inflammatory processes and encouraging natural tone and resilience.
