About the Product
This hand-thrown ceramic bowl was created by Ana Clara, an artist who lives and works in the desert community of Kfar Adumim in the Judean Desert. Shaped by hand at the wheel, each bowl reflects the landscape where it was made—from the character of the clay to the colors that echo the desert horizon.

Ana gathers clay from the desert near her home and shapes each piece until the form feels balanced and natural. The bowl is wide at the rim and gently tapers to a stable base that rests comfortably in the hands.
This Product Is an Example of What You May Receive in Our Monthly Box.
Once the form sets, Ana applies her own hand-mixed glazes, layering muted blues along the interior and blending olive and sandy tones near the edge.

Inside the kiln, heat brings the glazes together, creating a soft, glassy surface with subtle variations where the fire interacts with the material. Each finished bowl has a quiet strength—smooth to the touch, substantial in weight, and alive with color that shifts gently in the light.

Designed to be both functional and visually engaging, this bowl is made to be used, displayed, and appreciated as a one-of-a-kind piece shaped by the desert and the artist’s steady hand.

About the Producer
Ana Clara is a ceramic artist based in Kfar Adumim, in the Judean Desert. Working between Jerusalem and the Dead Sea, she creates pottery that is deeply influenced by the landscape around her.

Originally from Argentina, Ana built her life and studio in the desert, where the environment plays a central role in her creative process. The colors, textures, and forms of her work are inspired by the mineral tones of the cliffs, the shifting desert light, and the rare moments of change that appear after rainfall.

Each piece is shaped slowly and intentionally, with close attention to form, balance, and surface. Through her ceramics, Ana shares a quiet interpretation of the desert—its stillness, resilience, and understated beauty—translated into functional objects meant to last.
