Yaara once worked as a lawyer, but left everything to follow her calling: chocolate.

“One holiday, after a long day with almost no sales, a man bought three pralines and paid with a large bill… My daughter realized it was fake. I was crushed. But I shared my story and asked for help — soon, hundreds of people reached out. I now keep that bill as a reminder: even hard moments can end in blessing.”

Today, Yaara runs Cocoa Forest in Jerusalem, employs at-risk youth, and believes every box can bring light where it’s needed most.

Born to a family that has tended olive groves in Judea for generations, Yehuda believes every harvest is a celebration of history and hope.

“Some of our trees are centuries old — planted long before my grandfather was born. Each bottle of oil holds a story. My favorite moments are when my children help pick the fruit, laughing and singing. It’s more than work; it’s our family’s joy.”

Sweetness from the Wilderness — Dates that Tell a Story

Building their home in Israel’s southern desert, Sansan and Dekel planted date palms where only sand once lay. They tend each tree themselves — climbing tall trunks, gathering medjool dates at sunrise, working side by side.

"It’s not always easy, but when we taste the first dates of harvest, we remember why we chose this life: to make the wilderness blossom, one sweet fruit at a time.”
